This species is quite rare and has been only reported from the Mediterranean basin and Canary Islands. Kreiter et al. (2007) cited this species from Moroccan fauna referring to the specimens reported here. Nothing is known of its biology.

Specimens examined: 2002, Road from El Jadida to Casablanca on Solananum sodomeum (1 female). Previous records: Algeria, Canary Islands, Morocco (Kreiter et al., 2007), Spain, Tunisia.
