New data: nil.

Habitat preference: unknown.

Remarks: the Chthonius specimen previously identified as C. ischnocheles by Kárpáthegyi (2007) is newly identified as Chthonius cf. alpicola . The characters of the specimen are concordant with those in the redescription of Gardini (2021), especially those given in the diagnosis: anterior margin of carapace with 1 preocular microsetae on each side; posterior margin of carapace with 2 macrosetae and 1 lateral microseta; anterior eyes with convex lens; chelicera with 1 lateral microseta; movable chelal finger length 0.53 mm; chelal fingers with contiguous teeth; ratio of pedipalpal femur/carapace 1.05. Nevertheless, the chelal length is slightly larger (0.87mm instead of 0.57– 0.84mm), and the number of teeth in fixed chelal finger is smaller (43 instead of 47–62) than given in Gardini’s (2021) redescription.
