Biology: Recorded from Canarium (Burseraceae), Dipterocarpus (Dipterocarpaceae), Mangifera (Anacardiaceae), and Palaquium (Sapotaceae) . The gallery system, as in other species of Arixyleborus, consists of a single gallery penetrating the wood, sometimes with a few short branches. As the larvae develop, their feeding activity extends part of the main gallery into a longitudinal brood chamber usually approximately rectangular in shape, and the width of the main gallery (Browne, 1961a, R. A. Beaver pers. obs.). Kalshoven (1959) gives some details of gallery systems and brood found in Canarium in Java.
