49. Beaverium dihingensis (Eggers) * n. comb.

Xyleborus rufobrunneus var. dihingensis Eggers, 1930: 189 .

Ambrosiodmus dihingensis (Eggers): Wood & Bright, 1992: 673.

Thai distribution: N-E: Chaiyaphum. New to Thailand.

New record: Chaiyaphum, Phu Khieo Wildl. Res., 15.vii.2005 (J. Hulcr et al.) (1).

Other distribution: India (Assam, W. Bengal). The species also occurs in China (Yunnan) (R. A. Beaver, unpublished record). (2)

Taxonomy: The species was originally described as a variety of Xyleborus rufobrunneus Eggers by Eggers (1930), but referred to as a good species by Beeson (1961). Wood and Bright (1992: 673) list it as a good species in the genus Ambrosiodmus Hopkins, but confusingly also list it (p.769) as a synonym of Xyleborus rufobrunneus! We consider it a good species, but note that it has the morphological characters of the genus Beaverium Hulcr & Cognato (2009) . Accordingly, we transfer it to that genus.

Biology: Recorded from Artocarpus (Moraceae) and Pterocarpus (Leguminosae) (Beeson 1961) .
