Taxonomy: The species was transferred from Xyleborus to Ambrosiodmus by Wood and Bright (1992). However, it has the morphological characters of the genus Immanus Hulcr and Cognato (2013), and is here transferred to that genus.
Biology: Recorded from Castanospermum (Leguminosae) only. The gallery system is branched and lies in one transverse plane (Kalshoven 1959).
