Biology: Like all species of Cryptoxyleborus with known host trees, the species attacks only trees of the family Dipterocarpaceae (Beaver & Hulcr 2008) . The gallery system consists of an unbranched entrance tunnel leading to a single terminal brood chamber enlarged in the longitudinal plane (Browne 1961a).
