A nisotoma ecarinata Horn 1880: 292 . “ Lectotype ”, female, in MCZC, type number 3012, (We do not know of a publication validating this specimen as the lectotype and we do not so designate it here.), seen; MCZC cotype 33560, seen. Type locality: “western Nevada,” probably from woodland or forest habitat in the vicinity of Reno or Lake Tahoe .

Diagnosis. As for the genus.

Distribution. Previously recorded in North America (Horn 1880, Hatch 1929, 1957) from: CANADA. BRITISH COLUMBIA. Penticton. UNITED STATES. NEVADA (unspecified locality). CALIFORNIA. See Fig. 21.

Seasonality. The few known specimens were collected from May to July.

Bionomics. The few known adults with habitat data were collected in mixed forest.
