Dacrysoma varium sp. n.

Habitus Fig. 6. Length. 0.80–0.81 mm. Colour: yellowy brown, antennae clear yellow, legs slightly darker yellow. Antennomeres 3–11 Fig.42. Pronotum 0.22 mm long, 0.32 mm wide, pubescence very long, approximately one third length of pronotum, Figs. 60, 63. Elytra 0.51 mm long, 0.44 mm wide, pubescence slightly shorter than pronotum.

Etymology. This epithet is taken from the Latin adjective varius, meaning variable, and reflects the degree of variation apparent in this species.

Remarks. A variable species which is most easily distinguished by the length of the pubescence and the form of the genitalia.

Type data. Holotype: ♀, Andasibe N.P., Circuit Indri 2, sifting, 20.xi.2010, S.Rahanitriniaina (BMNH).
