Pseudabispa and Bidentodynerus

Giordani Soika (1977: 117) described the genus Bidentodynerus, monotypic for Odynerus bicolor de Saussure 1855 . Cardale (1985) used this genus name. Then Giordani Soika (1993: 126) transferred the type species of Bidentodynerus to Pseudabispa van der Vecht 1960, attributing the placement to van der Vecht (in litt.). He did not mention Bidentodynerus; the synonymy was not otherwise stated. Bidentodynerus is thus a subjective junior synonym of Pseudabispa van der Vecht 1960, and the genus name Pseudabispa has been used for bicolor by subsequent authors (Borsato 1996, 2003; Borsato & Ratti 1999; Brown 2009).
