Anterhynchium and Epiodynerus

Giordani Soika (1958 [1957]: 195) described Epiodynerus as a subgenus of Pseudepipona de Saussure 1856 . It was raised to generic rank by Giordani Soika (1971: 78), and this was followed by Cardale (1985) and Brown (2009). But later Giordani Soika (1986c: 74) treated this taxon as a subgenus of Anterhynchium de Saussure 1863, as had been done by van der Vecht (1963a: 88). This is now generally accepted (e. g. Borsato 1996, 2003; Gusenleitner 1998, 2011a; Carpenter & Madl, 2009; Nugroho et al. 2012 [2011]).
