Distribution: Australia.

Ethology: The nest of one species has been reported, I. ferruginea (as Discoelius ecclesiasticus); it consists of a burrow in a vertical bank; the vertical cells are separated by masticated leaf material mixed with soil; prey: caterpillars of the family Geometridae .
