Adult. (Figs. 7A, 8C). See also Janse (1954, Pl. 169, Fig. 3). Wingspan 24 – 28 mm.

Diagnosis. Venation (gen. slide no. CIS-7183/Park) is illustrated in Fig. 8C.

Male genitalia (Figs. 8A, B). See also Janse (1954, pl. 165, Fig. 4 - line drawing; pl. 173, Fig. 2 - photo). Uncus narrowly elongate; valva with deeply concave costal margin and strongly upturned distally; juxta with slightly concave caudal margin; aedeagus narrowly produced apically, with round apex.

Distribution. Botswana (Pinhey 1975), Kenya (new record), Mozambique (Pinhey 1975), Namibia (Janse 1954), South Africa (Gauteng, Limpopo) (Meyrick 1908), Zimbabwe (Janse 1954).

Remarks. The species was described based on a single female collected at Pietersburg, South Africa. It is known that the type (1♀, North Transvaal [Limpopo], Pietersburg, A.J.T. Janse) is deposited in the TMSA, but it was not found.
