FAMILY LITHOTRYIDAE GRUVEL, 1905

Diagnosis: Eight capitular plates comprising paired scuta–terga, carina, rostrum and paired carinolatera; peduncular scales small.

Comment: The peduncular scales are used to scrape the calcareous substrata and form a boring.
