Tabuina baiteta new species

Type material. Holotype male in RBINS with labels: " PAPUA NEW GUINEA: Madang Province, Baiteta Forest, S 5°01' E 145°45'. Canopy fogging, especially Celtis latifolia (Ulmaceae) . 21 June 1995. Olivier Missa." and " Tabuina baiteta Maddison, Holotype ". Paratypes: 11 males and 8 females with same data.
Etymology. Named after the type locality.
Diagnosis. The complex genitalia are distinctive, especially the long embolus with a loop that contacts the cymbium (Figs 44–45) and the boat-shaped conductor (Figs 45, 47). Epigynum has sinuate ducts visible just beneath the surface (Fig. 49).
Description. Male (holotype). Carapace length 2.9; abdomen length 2.8. Chelicerae: large but not elongate or projecting. Three promarginal and three retromarginal teeth. Palpus (Figs 44–47): embolus long, looping distally into the cymbium then back proximally to be cradled in a boat-shaped conductor. The tip of the embolus is hidden within the tip of the conductor. Tibia of first leg with three pairs of ventral macrosetae; first metatarsus with three pairs. Carapace high; posterior eyes on mild tubercles. PME large, angled diagonally forward. Intercheliceral sclerite not enlarged into a visible horn. Colour: faded, but with dark marking still visible on sides of carapace and abdomen (Fig. 48). Prominent tufts of pale hairs project lateral to the ALE.
Female (paratype). Carapace length 3.4; abdomen length 4.4. Chelicerae: three promarginal and three retromarginal teeth. Palp with tarsal claw. Tibia of first leg with three pairs of ventral macrosetae; first metatarsus with three pairs. Epigynum (Figs 49–50) with posterior openings and sinuate ducts visible; internally with highly coiled ducts. Carapace as in male. Colour: similar to that of male.
