Type locality and habitat.

China, Hong Kong, Kowloon, Lunggutan, on blue spotted crow, Euploea midamus (as Euploea minamus) ( Lepidoptera).

Remarks.

According to Moraes and Narita (2010), this species could be a member of the genus Afrocypholaelaps based on smooth dorsal shield and smooth, pointed and subequal dorsal shield setae.
