Scymnus micros Fauvel

Scymnus micros Fauvel, 1903: 324 (pars).

Endemic to New Caledonia (Nouméa). In his review, Bielawski (1973) assigned a lectotype for this species, which represents the only known specimen in collections (Col d’Amieu, dense rain forest). In Fauvel’s collection, this species was partially confused with Stethorus vagans (Blackburn) (Chazeau 1979) . At the genus level, its position remains uncertain. Male genitalia and the heavily convex specimen habitus suggest a Sticholotidini. Its biology remains unknown.
