Type locality and specimens. Aus dem südlichen Hererolande liegen mir eine Anzahl ♀ und I ♂ einer Blossia - Art vor.
Dimensions. ♂. Länge des Truncus 10 mm . ♀. Truncuslänge bis 13,5 mm.
Oldest Label. Blosssia falcifera Krpln, ♀ Co-Typus, L. Schultze l., c. IV.08, Südl. Hereroland (Kraepelin handwriting).
Additional label. Blossiola falcifera (Krpl.), 4♀ —CoTyp.— S. Hereroland, revid. 1931. Roewer No.—8275 ( Roewer handwriting).
Type material. Syntypes 2♀, 2 juv. (ZMH-A0000211). Damaged.
Taxonomic remarks. Kraepelin described this species based on various females and one male. He also published an illustration of the male chelicerae with flagellum. The male and four additional females are present in the ZMB collections (Moritz & Fisher, 1980; catalog no. 15534) and the lectotype should be designated from these specimens.
Collection remarks. Southern Hereroland refers to the division for the Herero people near Waterberg in current-day Namibia. Again, this species was collected by Leonhard Schultze during his expedition 1903-05.
