Type locality and specimens. Fundort: Transvaal.

Dimensions. ♂ Länge des Truncus 14 mm . ♀ Länge des Truncus 14 mm. [♂ lectotype 15.48; 20.05; ♀ paralectotype 14.22; 19.40]

Oldest label. Solpuga tubicen Krpln, Typus ♂, 2♀, Amsterdam c.1910, Transvaal (Kraepelin handwriting).

Type material. Lectotype ♂, paralectotypes 1♀, 1 juvenile designated here (ZMH-A0000186).

Collection remarks. The exact type locality is unknown but lies in the former Province of Transvaal in South Africa. The history of these specimens is unknown.

Current systematic position. Solpugidae, Solpugema tubicen (Kraepelin 1911) .
