Type locality and specimens. Fundort: Adoshebai, 18. Jan. 1901 (2 ♂♂; Neum.).

Oldest label. Solpuga parkinsoni Poc. var neumani Krpln, ex typis, Neumann 18.1.0 1, d. x.02, Adoshebai, Somaliland (Kraepelin handwriting).

Additional label. Sulpuga neumanni Krpl., 1♂ —ex Typ.— Somaliland. Roewer det. 1932— No. 9497 ( Roewer handwriting).

Type material. Lectotype ♂ here designated (ZMH-A0000190).

Taxonomic remarks. According to Moritz & Fischer (1980), the other male syntype is located at the ZMB (catalog no. 15661) and should now be regarded as the paralectotype.

Collection remarks. Adoshebai refers to the Adoshebai Valley, North of Lake Chew Bahir in Ethiopia.

Current systematic position. Solpugidae, Zeria neumanni (Kraepelin 1903) .
