Type locality and specimens. ♂, ♀ — Nord-Iran (Teheran) —(vidi 11 ♂, 4 ♀, Typus).

Dimensions. ♂ Korperlänge 25 mm; Iran.; ♀ Korperlänge 28 mm; Nord-Persien.

Oldest label. Galeodes caspius Bir., ♂ Mus . Turin, 27.VII. 1899, Teheran ( Kraepelin handwriting).

Additional label. Galeodes ctenoides n. sp. 1 ♂ —Cotyp.—Persien (Teheran) (dieses kein caspius) Roewer rv 1933. No—9555 (Roewer handwriting).

Type material. Syntypes ♂ (ZMH-A0000191).

Remarks. According to Zilch (1946:143) there are 7 ♂ and 3♀ (lectotype (♂) and paratypoide) at the SMF (catalog no. 9903398) with the correct locality data. Therefore, a lectotype should be formally designated from this collection.
