Material examined. Bangladesh: Silhet, 1 female nymph (holotype) (London BMNH) .

Discussion. The holotype of this species is a nymph in last instar as already recognized by Griffini (1912c). The width of the large robust head of that single known specimen leaves not doubt that it belongs to the genus Haplogryllacris (Images of the holotype in OSF). The coloration of the face resembles that of H. castanea (Brunner, 1888) . But without finding adult specimens from the type locality, it is not possible to decide if it is identical with any other described species or a local form.
