Diagnosis. The male ninth abdominal tergite is similar to that of E. rugosifrons, but the apical margin of the subgenital plate is projecting between styli and reaching to tip of styli while in E. rugosifrons it is concave, not projecting.
Material examined. India: Tamil Nadu, Kodaikanal, leg. Decoly— 1 male (syntype) (Paris MNHN) .
Additional Description. Medium sized species. Tegmen reduced to a small convexity at ventral margin of mesonotum (Fig. 62G).
Male. Eighth abdominal tergite dorsally prolonged. Ninth abdominal tergite down-curved; apical margin in middle with a pair of acute teeth that are longer and stouter than in E. rugosifrons (Figs. 62 E–F). Subgenital plate at base rather wide; after about basal third constricted; prolonged central part lobular with rounded tip; the laterally inserted styli reaching to about tip of subgenital plate (Fig. 62E).
