Capnogryllacris subgenus Dictyogryllacris Karny, 1937

Type species: Gryllacris reticulata Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1888

Discussion. Species of Dictyogryllacris differ from those of Capnogryllacris sensu stricto by the conspicuous large median ocellus as already noted by Gorochov et al. (2015). The females have the ovipositor more strongly curved and in some but not all species of Dictyogryllacris the cross veins of the tegmina are darkened giving the appearance of a reticle. The male ninth abdominal tergite is generally shaped as in Capnogryllacris, provided with a pair of subapical swellings and a pair of apical projections that are in situ crossing each other. For the type species C. (D.) reticulata, its shape has been described by Karny (1929a).
