Electrotettix † also has a unique species, E. attenboroughi † Heads and Thomas, 2014 . It is distinguished from other Cladonotinae by the presence of tegmina and rudimentary hind wings (Heads et al. 2014), given that recent Neotropical cladonotines do not present wings. This species was also found in the Dominican Republic (Heads et al. 2014; Cigliano et al. 2018).
