Plekocheilus (Aeropictus) succinoides [sic] cleeforum Breure 1977: 260, figs 19–20. Type locality: Páramo de Sumapaz, Cabeceras Rio Bogotá, Alto de Torquita, ca. 3900 m. Holotype ZMA.

Material. Cundinamarca, Páramo de Sumapáz, Cuchilla Rabona near Andabobos, 4000 m, Cleef leg.: RMNH; Soacha [sic], El Soche, 2920 m, E. Linares leg./2004: ICNB 10555; Meta, Nevado de Sumapáz, 3800–3900 m, Cleef leg.: ZMA; Macizo Sumapaz, near Laguna La Guitarra, 3200 m, leg./1981: ICNB.

Altitudinal range. This is a high-altitude taxon, occurring at 2900–4000 m.

Remarks. This subspecies was originally described from high altitudes (páramo south of Bogotá, 3800–4000 m). The new record from Laguna La Guitarra is at a lower altitude than the type locality, but is nearby. The record from El Soche (E of Bogotá) is the lowest altitude known for this taxon.
