Material. Boyacá, SW Labranza Grande, Quebrada Comijoque (05°32' N 072°40' W, 2800 m, type locality).?, Bogotá: USNM 124663 (partim); UMMZ 242812 (Marsh Colln).

Remarks. This taxon was differentiated by Breure (1977) using both conchological and anatomical characters. It occurs on the eastern escarpments of the Cordillera Oriental, ca. 90 km from the nearest record of the nominate subspecies.
