Diagnosis. Fastigium verticis narrower than scapus of antenna, moderately sloping anteriorly, dorsally furrowed, sinuate before tip in lateral view, separated from fastigium frontis. Occiput convex, surface smooth. Disc of pronotum broadly rounded into paranota, only in apical area flattened, with medial carina interrupted by second and third transverse sulci; paranota slightly longer than deep, humeral sinus distinct. Protibia with internal tympanum covered by a conchate fold, external tympanum free. Tegmina broad, anterior and posterior margins parallel or faintly widened, apex broadly rounded, male stridulatory area roughly triangular or oval, with a black spot, hind wings longer than tegmina. Male second abdominal tergite, in some species, extending to fourth tergite, setose in the middle. Male epiproct small; phallus with paired sclerites; subgenital plate with an apical excision shallow, without styli. Female subgenital plate with apico-lateral angles projecting.
