Type species: Tortrix flexicostalis Dognin, 1908 .

Diagnosis and remarks. Powell (1986) proposed the genus Archipimima for three Meyrick and one Dognin species. Additional species were added by Razowski (2004), Razowski & Pelz (2004), Razowski & Wojtusiak (2006, 2010, 2013), and Razowski & Becker (2011), resulting in a total of 12 species currently assigned to the genus. Species of Archipimima are recorded from Colombia and Venezuela to Peru and Brazil (Santa Catarina and ParanĂ¡). The new species described below extends the geographic range of the genus considerably southward to Argentina. An undetermined species of Archipimima (USNM) was reared from Diospyros kaki Thunb. ( Ebenaceae) in Brazil. Otherwise, life history features for the genus are unknown.
