DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

COMMENT: Known from a single specimen. Regarded as conspecific with thibetanus by Dolgov and Hoffmann, 1977, Zool. Zh., 56: 1687-1692, and with buchariensis by Corbet, 1978:23, but its specific status retained by Hutterer, 1979, Z. Saugetierk., 44:65-80, and Gureev, 1979:361.
