COMMENT: J. E. Hill, 1975, in Walker et al., p. 146, believes that the paratype (1 of 2 specimens known) is Suncus etruscus, placing the validity of the genus in doubt; see also Repenning, 1967:57. Probably a Suncus (RH) .
