COMMENT: Assigned to Amblysomus by Simonetta, 1968, Monitore Zool. Ital., n.s., 2(suppl):31, and Petter, 1981, Mammalia, 45:49-53; Meester, 1974, Part 1.3:5, placed this species in Chlorotalpa .
