Diagnosis. Wing with a brown stripe-like spot on dm-cu. Abdomen yellow without brown spots.

Redescription. MALE. Body length 3.9–4.1 mm, wing length 4.2–4.3 mm. FEMALE. Body length 4.1 mm, wing length 4.4 mm.

Head (Fig. 225) yellow. Frons pale brown between anterior or and posterior or, slightly wider than long and parallel-sided; ocellar triangle grayish brown; anterior or slightly longer than posterior or, oc shorter than posterior or. Gena about 1/5 height of eye. Antenna yellow (occasionally pale brown apically), 1.6 times longer than high; arista black except for brownish base, ray long plumose, with longest ray 1.6 times as long as height of 1st flagellomere. Proboscis brownish yellow and palpus yellow.

Thorax (Figs 226, 227) yellow. Mesonotum with 0+3 dc (1st post-sutural dc close to transverse suture), acr in irregular 8–10 rows and prsc slightly shorter than 1st post-sutural dc. Legs yellow. Fore femur with 4 pv, 6 pd, and ctenidium with 12 short setae; fore tibia with 1 preapical ad and 1 short apv. Mid femur with 4–5 a and 1 app; mid tibia with 1 strong preapical ad and 2 strong apv. Hind femur with 1 weak preapical ad and 2–3 av on apical 1/3; hind tibia with 1 preapical ad and 1 short apv. Wing (Fig. 229) slightly yellow with a brown stripe-like spot on dmcu; subcostal cell hyaline. Halter yellow.

Abdomen (Fig. 228) yellow without brown spots. Male genitalia (Figs 230–234): syntergosternite circular with dorsal setulae and a dorsoapical incision, spiracle on membrane in anterior view; epandrium wide apically, with three pairs of long dorsal setae in lateral view; surstylus claviform, blunt round apically in lateral view; hypandrium nearly Y-shaped with a middle ventral segment, postgonite short spoon-like; aedeagus with a pair of small triangular basal processes and a small apical incision in ventral view and a pair of narrow apical processes in lateral view; aedeagal apodeme shorter than aedeagus.
