Allometopon sensitivum Sasakawa, 1993: 7, 2009: 48 (description of male).

Description. General: (Figs 245, 246) Body length 3.6–4.2mm. Arista short plumose. M1+2 ratio 3.6. First flagellomere slightly enlarged.

Chaetotaxy: Three fronto-orbitals (broken). Ocellar seta small. Postvertical seta minute. Interfrontal seta relatively small (as long as pedicel). Two dorsocentral setae (anterior half length of, and closely set to posterior dorsocentral); additional enlarged setula in front of anterior dorsocentral, appearing as smaller third dorsocentral. Acrostichal seta very strong. Two long pairs of lateral scutellar setae transversely arranged.

Colour: Setae light brown to brown. Body yellow with ocellar tubercle brown, distal half of palpus black, shoulders paler, halter white, fore tarsus dark brown and tergites 3–6 light brown. Male with frons brown tinged on posterior 2/3, and with lateral margin of scutellum, katepisternum (excluding dorsal margin), anatergite, katatergite and mediotergite pale brown, abdomen brownish-yellow with epandrium dark brown excluding yellowish longitudinal dorsomedial line, surstylus blackish-brown and cercus yellow. Gena and anterior margin of postgena pilose. Wing clear.

Male terminalia: (Figs 249–252) Surstylus T-shaped with narrow base and strongly expanded apex, slightly wider than long. Phallapodeme rod-like with raised ventral shield. Pregonite small, lobate, densely setose. Postgonite lobate, possibly elongate, apically swollen and setose. Basphallus well-developed. Epiphallus small, weakly sclerotized. Distiphallus approximately half length of phallapodeme. Paraphallus with relatively wide, sclerotized midsection and tapered, curved, dorsally spinulose apex.

Female terminalia: Not dissected.

Distribution: Malaysia (North Borneo).

Holotype: MALAYSIA. North Borneo (SE), Forest camp, 19km N of Kalabakan, 60m, 21.xi.1962, K.J. Kuncheria (1♀, BPBM).
