Description. General: (Figs 275, 276) Body length 2.7–3.4mm. Arista pubescent. M1+2 ratio 4.0–5.5. First flagellomere with longer hairs along distal margin.
Chaetotaxy: Two fronto-orbital setae. Ocellar seta minute. Postvertical absent. Interfrontal seta not evident. Most cephalic setae missing. Posterior dorsocentral setae missing, apparently not much larger than long, welldeveloped anterior dorsocentrals; small, thin third dorsocentral present in front of anterior dorsocentral. Acrostichal seta absent. Posterior half of scutum glossy, bare.
Colour—male: Setae yellow to yellowish-brown. Head yellow in ground colour with dorsal 1/3 of first flagellomere brown (only along dorsal margin on inner surface), venter of back of head whitish and ocellar tubercle surrounded by slightly larger brown spot; remainder of head below frons (excluding mouthparts past clypeus) whitish; parafacial, gena and postgena silvery tomentose. Scutum yellow with medial dark brown stripe slightly narrowing to, and fading at anterior margin; stripe abruptly narrowed at posterior margin and almost entirely fused to one pair of adjacent posterolateral stripes not attaining posterior margin of scutum. Scutellum dark brown with whitish-yellow apical spot. Katatergite dark brown; anatergite yellow; mediotergite dark brown with venter and lateral margins yellow. Pleuron light yellow with anepisternum yellow. Legs light yellow to whitish. Wing clear. Halter pale. Abdominal tergites brown with tergite 1 light brown dorsally and yellow laterally, sternite 8 paler brown, epandrium dark brown and surstylus and cercus yellow.
Colour—female: As described for male except as follows: palpus blackish on distal 1/3–1/2; lateral scutal stripe reaching posterior margin laterally to posterolateral corner; postpronotum and notopleuron brown; anepisternum to anatergite dark brown; wing faintly infuscated along costa; fore tibia light brown; abdomen yellowish-brown to dark brown, tergites 2–5 darker. Examined females differ as follows: back of head with small brown spot below ocelli; palpus yellow.
Male terminalia: (Figs 277, 278) Surstylus narrow, subrectangular with apex widened. Phallapodeme rod-like. Basiphallus well-developed. Epiphallus as long as basiphallus. Distiphallus approximately half length of phallapodeme. Paraphallus nearly as long as distiphallus, slightly curved, minutely spinulose dorsally.
Female terminalia: (Fig. 346) Apex of spermathecal duct minutely annulated. Spermatheca subovate with length twice width, wider on distal half and base slightly flattened; pigmented with minute clear spots scattered on basal half.
Distribution: Indonesia (East Kalimantan), Malaysia (Sabah), Philippines.
