Type locality: Indonesia, W. Jawa, Perbawattee.

Type material: Holotype (male) in RMNH, examined.

Distribution: Malaya, Sumatra, Jawa, Andaman Isl., Sumatra, Vietnam. In the Sumatra and Vietnam – subspecies P. stenoptera sumatrana (Roepke, 1957) .
