Type species. Odontogryllodes brevicauda Chopard, 1969, by original designation.
Remarks. This genus previously consisted of six species from Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Java prior to the new species described from Borneo. These crickets are characterised by a cylindrical body; males with short FWs and completely lack stridulatory apparatus; metanotal gland present; tympanum absent; females with short ovipositor (Gorochov, 2016).
