Comments
This species was described from the male sex only; the female is unknown. Brethesiella coccidophaga probably belongs to the latifrons species group. It may be a synonym of one of the described Argentine species of Brethesiella, but that would be difficult to show without access to the type material of both B. coccidophaga and B. longipes, and without freshly collected specimens reared from known hosts in Argentina.
