Athalia taitaensis Koch, 2007: 97 . Locus typicus: Kenya south, Taita Hills, Wundanyi. Holotype: ♀. Kenya south, Taita Hills, Wundanyi [03°24'S 038°21'E], 05–10.IV.1997, Marek Halada (OLML).
Ethiopian material. Jimma [07°40'N 036°50'E], 19–26.X.1969 (1 ♀), leg. R. H. Cobben (WUPS); Guder, 08°58’N 037°44’E, 1700 m, 06.XI.2011 (P3591) (1 ♀), leg. Z. A. Hora & J.-L. Boevé (RBINS).
Distribution. Ethiopia, Kenya.
Host plant. Unknown.
Remarks. With their entirely infuscate wings, A. taitaensis and A. sidamoensis are conspicuously different from the other known species of the A. himantopus species group. The differences with A. sidamoensis are discussed under this species.
