Distribution.
Ethiopia, DR. Congo, Tanzania, NW. Madagascar.
Habitat and еcology.
Secondary forest, road verge; 450–600 m elev.

Lectotypification of Coleus seretii De Wild. De Wildeman (1920) cites two syntypes (F. Seret 68 & 420 (erroneously cited as “ 120 ” in the protologue), both matching the protologue; F. Seret 68 (sheet [BR 0000006262600] is selected here as the lectotype because it has better preserved leaves. Remaining syntype: F. Seret 420 (syntype BR; isosyntype K), Suronga Forest, 26 Dec 1905.
