Diagnostic characters: Measurements, see Table I. Male: Dorsal aspect: Head shining, pronotum and hemelytra opaque. General coloration testaceous with head and pronotum slightly darker, pale spot on basal margin of exocorion; antennae, legs and underside of body (excepting the darker metapleura) paler. Antennal segments in male (I:II:III:IV) 1: 4.6: 2.2: 2.1. Genitalia (see under generic description). Female: More robust than male, with smaller eyes and second antennal segment. Antennal segments (I:II:III:IV) 1: 3.1: 2.2: 2.2.

Distribution: Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela. The species has also been newly recorded from Nicaragua (Fig. 21).
