Haplothrips gowdeyi (Franklin)

Worldwide this species has been collected many times in flowers of a great number of plant genera in the subtropics and tropics. In the period 2005–2009 six females and one male were intercepted on Ethiopian Rosa import cut flower, (Table 1). Its occurrence has previously been reported from Ethiopia also (Moulton 1928).
