Cosmoplatidius lycoides (Guérin-Méneville, 1844)
(Fig. 1)
Pteroplatus lycoides Guérin-Méneville, 1844: 233 .
Cosmoplatidius lycoides; Monné, 2023a: 182 (cat.).
Pteroplatus annulipes Blanchard, 1847: 207 .
Remarks. This species was described based on a single specimen from Brazil (without further details). Later, Blanchard (1847) described P. annulipes based on a single specimen from Bolivia (Santa Cruz). Tavakilian (1991) synonymized P. lycoides with P. annulipes because he considered the latter as published in 1843. Napp & Martins (2006) inverted the order of the synonym, considering P. annulipes as published in 1846. Currently, it is known from Guyana, French Guiana, Brazil (Amazonas, Rondônia, Goiás, Mato Grosso, S„o Paulo), and Bolivia (Santa Cruz) (Monné 2023a; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023). Bezark (2023b) listed the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. However, as he did not list the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso (MT), we believe that this was a mistake because he thought that the abbreviation of Mato Grosso was “MG,” which is the abbreviation for the state of Minas Gerais.
