European distribution: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia (European part), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom (Sammet et al. 2016; WPC 2024).

Notes: Dinocheirus panzeri is dendrophilous (KrajčovičovÁ & ChristophoryovÁ 2014; ChristophoryovÁ et al. 2016, 2017b). It was also rarely found in compost heap (KaňuchovÁ et al. 2015) and soil (Christophoryová et al. 2016). The present research brings new knowledge about the habitat preference of the species, which was first recorded in bird nests, Malaise, and pitfall traps.
