European distribution: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Germany, Russia (European part), Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland (ČervenÁ et al. 2020c; WPC 2024).
Notes: Chernes vicinus was found at two sampling sites in Bratislava, namely under the bark of trees and in an anthill (ČervenÁ et al. 2020a). Its distribution in the city was extended by five new sampling sites, where specimens were found mainly under the bark of trees and once in a pitfall trap.
