Notes: Chthonius ischnocheles is recorded in Bratislava for the first time. The species is distributed widely in Europe but in Slovakia, the data about its occurrence are rare (Krumpál 1980, 2000; Krumpál & Kiefer 1981). It was found in a beech forest and a cave (Krumpál 1980, 2000; Krumpál & Kiefer 1981). After more than 20 years, one male was extracted from a compost heap in the botanical garden in Bratislava, and by that new sampling site and habitat type for the species were discovered.
