Trichomycteridae
Pygidium metae guayaberensis Dahl, 1960a: 307, fig. 2. Holotype (Fig. 47): ICN-MHN 435 (57.0 mm SL), Colombia, Meta, in a small pond in a brook tributary to the Guayabero River ca. 1 km from the mouth of the brook and 1500 m from the expedition camp No. 1, situated on the left bank of the Guayabero, ca. 4 km above Camp Thompson; G. Dahl, 23 Jan 1959.
Remarks: Cala (1981) and Mojica & Castellanos (2007, 2009) did not listed the holotype of Pygidium metae guayaberensis . The holotype was found in the general collection under a different taxonomic identification, but with the old label intact. Currently as Ituglanis guayaberensis .
Pygidium migrans Dahl, 1960b: 309, fig. 3. Holotype (Fig. 48): ICN-MHN 399 (41.5 mm SL), Colombia, Meta, Guayabero River, tributary of Meta River; G. Dahl, 14 Mar 1959. Paratypes ICN-MHN 400 (691, 26.3–35.5 mm SL), ICN-MHN 396 (1030, 25.8–36.0 mm SL), collected with the holotype.
Remarks: Cala (1981) indicated that ICN-MHN 400 had 1384 specimens and Mojica & Castellanos (2009) assigned 683 specimens to the same lot. Currently as Trichomycterus migrans .
Pygidium totae Miles, 1942c: 55, unnumbered figure. Holotype (Fig. 49): ICN-MHN 353 (145.0 mm SL), Colombia, Boyacá, Sogamoso, Lago de Tota, eastern versant, Cordillera Oriental, 3060 m asl.; C. Miles & C. L. Winz, Feb 1942. Paratype: ICN-MHN 20a (one head), collected with the holotype .
Remarks: Cala (pers. comm.) recatalogued ICN-MHN 20 as ICN-MHN 353. The lot SU 37074 corresponds to the posterior half of ICN-MHN 20a (Schaefer & Fernández, 2009). Miles (1942c) wrongly indicated that the holotype measured 130 mm SL, while Mojica & Castellanos (2007) gave a standard length of 353 mm SL, being clearly a mistake with the catalog number of the holotype. We verified the standard length of the specimen using ImageJ (Rasband, 2016). Currently as Rhizosomichthys totae .
Trichomycterus gorgona Fernández & Schaefer, 2005: 69, fig. 1. Paratype (Fig. 50): ICN-MHN 10019 (58.7 mm SL), Colombia, Cauca, Pacífic Sea, Isla Gorgona, freshwater stream near NE end of island, Argosy Ecuador Expedition station 29, 02°59’N 78°11’30”W; Argosy Ecuador Expedition, 21 Sep 1961 .
Remarks: the paratype was donated from ANSP (Arrindell Radford pers. comm.).
Trichomycterus ocanaensis Ardila-Rodríguez, 2011, unnumbered pages, 1 unnumbered figure on cover. Paratypes (Fig. 51): ICN-MHN 16919 (7, 42.8–69.0 mm SL), Colombia, Norte de Santander, Ocaña Teja River, tributary of Algodonal River, upper Catatumbo River, 08° 14’15”N 73°02’26”W, 1202 m asl.; C. Ardila-Rodríguez, 19 Mar 2008.
