Parapolybia varia (Fabricius 1787) [? Parapolybia varia Fabricius 1787,? Parapolybia nodosa van der Vecht 1966]

Sonan (1944) recorded this nominal species from Chipon, Eboshi, Hokuto, Kanko, Kobayashi (Rato), Koshun, Kuraru, Kusukusu, Namakaban, Rato, Sozan, Tabo, Taihoku, Taiko, Taito, Tonbo and Urai. We have not yet determined the specimens that Sonan examined; they may include both P. v a r i a and P. nodosa, and possibly another nominal species that is currently treated as a junior synonym of P. v a r i a.
