Typhlodromalus congeae .— Denmark & Muma, 1975: 290; Moraes et al., 1986: 129; Moraes et al., 2000: 252.
Specimens examined. Manabao (Cordillera Central), 30-IX-2008, four females and one male on an unidentified species of Rubiaceae .
Remarks. This species has previously been recorded from Guadeloupe and Honduras. The measurements of the specimens collected are very similar to those of the holotype and to those provided by Moraes et al. (2000) for specimens from Guadeloupe. The range of the lengths of Z4 of the specimens collected partially overlaps that given for the latter authors, being closer to the measurement of the holotype. The average measurements of four adult females followed by the respective ranges in parentheses are: dorsal shield, 280 µm long (270–290) and 168 wide (166–180); ventrianal shield, 95 µm long (88–100) and 59 wide (56–62). Measurements of setae as follows: j1: 28 (26–31), j3: 42 (40–45), j4, j5, j6: 10 (9–11), J2: 12, J5: 8 (8–9), z2: 15 (14–15), z4: 32 (30–33), z5: 10, Z1: 12 (11–12), Z4: 42 (40–47), Z5: 63 (62–66), s4: 61 (58–64), S2: 29 (26–33), S4: 18 (16–20), S5: 11 (10–12), r3: 29 (28–32), R1: 13 (11–14), Sge I: 28 (26–29), Sge II: 26 (25–26), Sge III: 24 (24–25), Sge IV: 57 (55–62), Sti IV: 36 (35–38), St IV: 63 (59–65).
