Specimens examined. Las Galeras (Peninsula de Samaná), 3-X-2008, one female on Sapindus saponaria L. ( Sapindaceae); one female on Piper aduncum L. ( Piperaceae); two females and one male on Carica papaya L. ( Caricaceae).
Remarks. This species has previously been recorded from Colombia, Guadeloupe (Kreiter et al., 2006), Guatemala, Honduras, Martinique, Nicaragua and Perú. The measurements of five females collected are very similar to the re-description of Denmark & Muma (1972) except for the shorter St IV, which is 61 µm long in the type material. Dorsal shield, 319 µm long (312–328) and 233 wide (218–242); ventrianal shield, 101 µm long (100–102) and 48 wide (46–50).
