Specimens examined. Jarabacoa (Cordillera Central), 30-IX-2008, one female and one male on Rubus sp. ( Rosaceae); two females and one male on a unidentified Melastomataceae . Las Galeras (Peninsula de Samaná), 3-X- 2008, one female on Miconia sp. ( Melastomataceae).

Remarks. This species has previously been recorded from Algeria, Bermuda, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Florida (USA), Galápagos, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Honduras, India, Jamaica, Louisiana (USA), Martinique, Mexico, Perú and Venezuela. The measurements of the adult females collected are very similar to the re-descriptions of this species provided by De Leon (1966), Kreiter & Moraes (1997) and Kreiter et al. (2006) for specimens from British Guyana, Guadeloupe and Martinique, respectively.
